Pinnacle (Holistic Duck & Potato)
Rating: | Price: $$$$ | Website
Pinnacle is a quality food, albeit I’ve always found it to be difficult to locate unless you buy online. A look at what’s in it doesn’t reveal any by-products or fillers. Also, duck meal is the first ingredient, with duck being the 4th ingredient to ensure that the meat content is adequate. As mentioned above, the protein % is a little lower here than some other foods, which probably only matters to dogs that are super active.
The grains are top notch, with the use of oats as a very digestible grain for dogs. Potatoes are a prominent source of carbs and fiber, and flaxseed is around for great fatty acids, as is grapeseed oil. All in all, it’s a quality food that you’ll definitely pay a price for.
